Day 365/16. A surprising insect today.

I was just starting the think about a photograph for today when we noticed this small moth sitting on our front door. Its probably about 2cm wing span. With last nights temperatures well below zero and freezing fog still around it was pretty docile and allowed me time to get my macro lens.
So, a surprising insect macro today, I did think my insect subjects would be well hidden for a few months until well into the new year.
