Panorama school

Most unusually the setting sun glowed across the full width of our horizon. I have never managed to work the panorama function successfully (really need more camera practice time – another lifetime perhaps) so I just took a series. Trying to work out which to post I found I could line them up and take a screen grab. Now then, question; since our graphics card driver is still not functioning correctly and everything looks woolly to me, does a screen grab show what the screen actually looks like or the underlying information?
I should state that the sunset was from the day before.
