Frost pattern

Heading back to the car after my night shift I walked past a car with the most exquisite frost patterns on it's bonnet illustrating the simple beauty of nature. 

The hospital is hotting up after the Christmas lull.  Patients tend to stay at home at Christmas nursing an ailment and then present in the days after Christmas acutely unwell as they have put off seeking help.  There is a noticeable rise in the number of flu cases too.  Very glad to be off for a few days!
