Artichoke
A mixture of working in the office, and came home early do do some bits that needed a clean internet connection (for various boring, tedious and techy reasons). It did mean that I managed to get quite a lot done today, which was definitely a good thing.
An out of season meeting of the camera club tonight, and a fun practical session of tabletop photography. A couple of us took along strobes/speedlights, reflectors and backdrops. I think loads of people learnt quite a bit about their cameras, and more importantly helped them understand how aperture, shutter speed and ISO relate.
I got a number of shots I was quite happy with, but particularly liked the slightly abstract feel of this one. Really shallow depth of field (100mm macro with about 50mm of extension tube) on the flower spikes of an artichoke.
And a new toy arrived too... :-)
