On hold!

Our Qantas flight made good smooth progress to Dubai. Unfortunately Dubai was shrouded in fog preventing planes from landing. So we circled in the holding pattern shown in the photo. Round and round we went until 2 hours later we were given permission to land.
This meant we landed at the same time as our connecting flight was scheduled to depart. We were advised still to go to the departure gate. This involved getting from one end to the other of one of the world's biggest airports. But we made it stressed and sweaty! So here we are on the second flight of our trip waiting for more delayed passengers. Hopefully will make it to Singapore today and then Bangkok tomorrow.
