The day after

It was a cold day, but quite a bit of sunshine, so we set out to a local wildlife reserve to test out the new binoculars. Here they are with binoculars and journals (we gave the family an RSPB membership and the kids get so much with it). Birds were seen and watched and identified, but breaking the ice was also enjoyed. 

Extra - a picnic on the 28th of December!! Leftovers had to be eaten, so we thought we might as well eat them outside. 

A lovely few family days - we are home now after a long drive through traffic and fog.
