Why?

I noticed this last week, and today I finally got back to take a photograph of it.
I usually quite like graffiti, but this is horrible! and such an ugly addition to this beautiful old oak tree.
I guess on the plus side it will come off (eventually) and if it was painted at night on this spooky stretch of road right beside Coolhurst church and churchyard I take my hat off to the artists! and best of all it does make a great blip!
