Reaching for the sky

Each time we pass this tree on our daily walk I think how it looks like some sort of quasi human reaching out to embrace its world.  Today the sun was striking it beautifully, so I thought that it warranted a blip. Another day of slipping back into the half-routine that always sits between Christmas and new year, a bit of work, a bit of house project and lots of cups of tea!
