Elbe

We hired some bikes today in Konigstein and cycled along the Elbe, first to Bastei and then back (nearly) to the Czech border. We crossed the river first by ferry and then via a very dramatic sweeping road bridge. The views along the river in both directions were stunning - I even made some sketches for a print when we stopped for our picnic lunch...

Woke up with a weird mix of 'A Good Year For The Roses' and 'Sunday Morning Coming Down' twining round each other in my head this morning like some weird, unholy country mash-up...
