Turron from Alicante Province

More Festive Gifts were received today.......wonderful! Thank You!
Turron....made from locally grown almonds, and some honey ....sweet and delicious! Turron is exported all over the world!

These beautifully gift wrapped parcels are gifts from our local bank......the Caixa de Altea!
Barrioboy....who is having issues with his Bank in Rio...may be laughing/ crying.....when he hears that, we pensioners, on the Costa Blanca...actually receive Festive Gifts from our Caixa!

As with last year.....I need to add that our 'local bank' isn't strictly speaking a Spanish Banco....more a small 'co operative building society'....which is owned by its 'socios' members ......
However, it's very good at looking after its customers!!!
