Necessity

Not another obsessive candle blip, this time it was all there was available during a power cut. It's the first one I've known in decades; the last one was probably when growing up in rural Renfrewshire. Suburban Edinburgh turned out to be very dark indeed and a wee bit scary, with a lot of groping around needed to get in the house and light the candles.

At least the lights were back on for Christmas University Challenge, guilty pleasure of the season.
