COUNTING ON GREAT-GRANNY

Here's one of my Texan great-nieces demonstrating to great-granny her skills at reading and counting in English and Spanish. We spent a lot of Christmas trying to distract great-granny (my Mum) from misguided interference in various family dramas.

B and I had been discouraged from visiting his other daughter and her baby as our germs weren't welcome - and quite right too. Mum's house already had a cosmopolitan mixture of germs in it.
