Golden Day

Nothing fancy today - just put on my boots and warm clothing and set off walking along the lanes near home. It was a glorious day. Wall to wall blue sky and a crisp frost. Within a few hundred yards of the house, I was surprised to see a flock of Golden Plover fly over. I kept seeing them from time to tie, and about three quarters of the way round I saw 3 birds drop into a field where they fed, giving me an opportunity to get a few photos.
