tree hugger

I took this shot of the Northern Flicker because of the way it was looking up to the heavens. And truly there were no other birds around, so it was looking up to an empty sky. Very contemplative, I thought. But once I got the photo on the computer I noticed how tightly it is hanging on to the branch with its tail! And yes, there was a bit of a breeze this morning.
