The smashing fireworks

Pie and Cocktail day today, I managed to get my 18 year old cousin lying down down for a "rest" after not too long. Lots of cocktails and pies were consumed, then the Triumph of Christmas - Will and I made a baked Alaska- my mum was the only person who had ever eaten one before- what a triumph!!

Other events today included much dithering about whether I brace the trains tomorrow to meet the lovely people. I have decided I think, that absolutely I will.

And we had indoor fireworks which were utterly brilliant. Daisy and Will have this so much of their solid upbringing, it's highly satisfying.
