Korhaan

Today we took a drive around Rietvlei NR near Pretoria, and managed to get this record shot of the Northern Black Korhaan (Afrotis afraoides). We often hear this bird's call, but it is not very often that one gets good visuals. Spent a lovely afternoon, with 68 species recorded, with some of the specials being African Fish Eagle, Black-chested Snake-eagle among others.
Also had plenty of mammal sightings, including White Rhino, Eland, Waterbuck, Black Wildebeest, Springbuck and Zebra.
