Coit Tower

11.00 km walked today as we left our temporary home near Union Square and walked to The Ciot Tower, Fishermans wharf, caught a bus to the theatre to see “The Lion King” and returned to walk up Powell and grab some emergency supplies …Yes THAT stuff “Z” and then stagger back to Union square. Oh and there was 21 floors of height gain too. frankly I am “dog” tired and I didn’t walk anywhere but did have to deal with a number of “admiring” kiddies who were standing “in line” behind me.
Coming back from the theatre, the bus driver suddenly pulled into an unoccupied stop, left his seat and ordered a large bloke with a large dog off the bus….For smoking.  He went.
On the side of the drivers door there was a sign that threatened 5 years in jail for assaulting a bus driver. 
Seems an idea that could be adopted in NZ too.

The Coit tower is a must see as the views from the top are superb and the inside base area contains some of the best mural art that we have ever seen but the visit did account for the 21 floors height thingie above.
