Magical Lantern Festival Roundhay Park

After a lie in I managed to get up in time to say goodbye to my brother and sister-in-law, who left just before lunch. After lunch I slept most of the afternoon but then it was time to go out. 

Yesterday Mum gave me a card with a suggestion in that we could go to the magical lantern festival but said that she'd written it before plans had changed with family coming and there wouldn't be time. She proceeded to explain to me what it was all about. I tried hard to keep a straight face and it was hilarious when she opened the present I had given her and found a ticket to the said festival! 

So, tonight we went to the magical lantern festival at Roundhay Park and it was stunning. It started in the rose garden and wound its way all through the canal garden and then through the Alhambra garden. So many lanterns, so many colours. It really was magical. It took an hour and a quarter to walk round it all.
