A New Day

Forfar Loch

We were going a bit stir crazy after being indoors for so long over Christmas, so decided to drive to Forfar and go for a walk round  round the Loch.  It's only 2.5 miles and usually a bit of a doddle, but in a temperature of 2 degrees C and with a keen wind in our faces, it seemed like twice that length:-)  We enjoyed it and also the very friendly people you meet on the walk.

Snow lay for a short time in the garden today, but it soon turned to rain before brightening up a bit in the afternoon.  Lots of snow on the Grampians too, though it's probably been washed away now.

We received a pair of lovely hand-made apple/fatball feeders from our daughter and son-in-law for Christmas, so put them up on the feeding pole today fully expecting it to be a while before anything came near, as birds are often shy of new feeders.  Within minutes, they were both being visited (see Extra), so I think they've been voted a great success:-)

Hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and I'll catch up as soon as I can:-)
