St Stephen's Day, Barley Cove

Lovely day yesterday but wet and wild during the Christmas swim - we just watched. Far too much to eat followed by Sully, movie staring Tom Hanks. Champagne was enjoyed. Wet and wild in the night but St Stephen's Day broke bright and clear - it had to be Barley Cove. It was packed - huge waves, lots of kayakers and surfers, and families out walking kids and dogs. Next stop Ballyrisode beach and son#1 straight back in a wetsuit and into the sea - see here! ! Last stop Golleen where the Wren Boys were out and about, newly resurrected and looking slightly self conscious.
Tonight we shall be watching Deepwater Horizon, another disaster movie, eating the remnants of the Christmas pudding and generally chilling. It's all gone too fast - son#2 and brother home tomorrow at sparrowfart.
