Old Stones - Jedburgh Abbey

We  had our first snow of the winter last night - just a sprinkling, and it didn't lie for long. Time to unearth the shovel, just in case. 

The council has installed salt bins on our road - I think this is their way of saying that Tex Gritter won't be coming our way now that the school bus no longer passes us. Living  on a very steep hill, beside a hair-pin bend with a deep ditch on the other side, makes getting in and out interesting sometimes. So we're hoping for a winter like last - when the thermometer hardly got below zero.
