Radish Munchen Bier

This is another of the unusual salads and veggies which I'm trying for the first time this year.

The purple and white bunches of flowers are Radish Munchen Bier. This radish variety is one that you don't eat the root but the seed pod.

Feeling adventurous and apprehensive this morning, I gave it a go and ate one of the green pods, which are a slightly elongated pear shaped. They are crunchy and very radishy (if that's a word!) and there are loads of them.
