Bowled Over!

Having spent the morning swimming, with the Auchrannie pool practically to ourselves, time for a lunch of special chocolate cake and full fat coke (OK OK we know about nutrition but if your grandparents can't spoil you & break all the rules ....!) it was on to Lamlash for the next sporty bits.

Despite H turning out to be a bit of a bowler, the girls' team lost to the boys, largely thanks to the talents of J who seems to have a genetic predisposition to bowls.

Last of all to tennis where another battle was fought. No wonder we were all so hungry on return to the cottage! And Mr Amazon had delivered some holiday reading -- Jacqueline Wilson and Rosemary Sutcliffe -- so bliss all round!
