Walking off the calories

We had a very warm Christmas Day here in South Carolina!  I wore shorts and flipflops!  Number 2 Son Brett and his wife Emily came over for presents and lunch..I really did not cook much but I really over ate what I did.  We should not sit at the table and talk and eat at the same time..eat and go to another room!   

So about 5pm I decided the dog needed to drag me down the road to walk off some calories. She had some extra food today too and needed to get some exercise.   The sky was clear blue with a big orangey gold ball of the sun going down behind the pines.   Found these last red oak leaves next to that field across from the house where they cut down all the trees except this little twig.  

I have to do the food thing all over again for Number One son Tate and my 2 granddaughters on Tuesday..they are making the ride down from Boone, North Carolina to spend a few days with us. 

And cookies and chocolate will be banned from this house in the very near future.  I think I will send it all home with the granddaughters!
