Uncle Laurence

I came across a pile of old photos and other stuff a couple of days ago, including my aunt and uncle's old passport. I realised that today would have been my Uncle Laurence's 100th birthday.
I only knew him as a motor mechanic but he served as an RAF mechanic in Africa and Italy during WW2. He was mentioned in dispatches while serving. I cannot find any details but I fell heir to the Oak Leaf that he was awarded.
Born on Christmas Day, he always seemed a bit miffed that he didn't have his birthday on a different day. It probably didn't help that we always forgot to wish him a Happy Birthday till quite a while after Christmas lunch had begun.

ps how the hell do I rotate an image once it's uploaded?
