The Twelve Shades Of Christmas
We went “continental” (proud to be 48 percenters) in our house this year and celebrated Christmas with the usual turkey fest on Christmas Eve rather than Christmas Day. All the offspring and partners round (apart from the Manchester Crew who will be coming on Boxing Day).
Reason being, that J and I are going to the care home on the 25th to have lunch there with her dad. Then back for presents at our daughter R and husband S’s place.
As I backblip this (n.b. we had a great, if different time at the care home), I reflect that indeed folk do experience a multitude of shades of Christmas, depending on circumstances and health. There but for the grace etc...
On a lighter note, I counted at least twelve shades of red on the dining table. J loves red. As you know, most photographers dislike (if not quite hate) red and its challenges. It’s to do with difficult wavelengths – of the color, not marital harmony ;)
May your Christmas this year be the shade that you would wish for Blipsters...
