Mezquita

Santa came by our hotel in the night and dropped off a little present for each of us.

We had brekkie in a cafe before venturing off round the city on the tourist hop on-hop off bus to get a feel for the place. Córdoba is very beautiful and glowed in the Christmas sunshine.

Then we traipsed around the old town to take in some history, including a brief visit to the Mezquita Cathedral. It is open properly tomorrow, so we'll visit again then.

Tapas for Christmas lunch and now we are off on a walking tour before dinner in one of the myriad patio restaurants within the ancient city walls.

P.S. The walking tour was great and after an even better gin and tonic, we are about to go out for dinner. No turkey for us!
