El Parque del Acueducto

Backblipping from next Thursday so not a bit of a memory test....

My camera tells me we went here so that's one thing for certain (unless it's tricking me which would seem unnecessarily harsh). In March last year this new park opened and we visited for the first time last summer. Obviously the aquaduct has been there considerably longer but not really in an accessible way and certainly not with such a lovely landscaped setting. I believe we came on a morning visit and may have left it slightly later than was wise given how little shade there currently is. Part of the planting is trees on each of the paths so eventually it should be a lovely place to visit in the summer regardless of the time of day but for now should be contained to either early morning or late evening. So it was a fairly brisk wander up to the top of the aquaduct before heading off in search of shade. I'm slightly making the next bit up but I think it is reasonable to assume that lunch, relaxing in air-conditioned rooms and a cooling dip in the pool followed.

I do recall it was our first set of visitors last night and with an early start required for the next morning a relatively sensible bedtime was had by all.
