Cruising to Christmas
More happy pottering during the morning then an appointment in town in the afternoon. From a very pleasant beginning the weather deteriorated considerably - barely noticeable odd spots at home then, by the time I was close to town, a torrential downpour that saw vehicles slow to a crawl!
The drive back home after my appointment was another crawl as it coincided with the usual rush hour. It was heigtened however by it being the last work day before the Christmas break - the roads were nuts! Nothing for it but to pull off and go and have a wee look-see (in the rian!) at the cruise liner that was in port. It actually looked a whole heap bigger from the newspaper report. Still, it killed 15 minutes which freed the roads up considerably.
