Berwick's beautiful Royal Tweed Bridge

The resplendent concrete of Berwick's Royal Tweed Bridge... It is magnificent the arches are engineering beauty at its best. The bridge completed in 1928 once formed part of the A1 Great North Road as did the Tyne Bridge completed in the same year! 

Long journey north today, but thanks to some excellent radio programs on BBC Radio 4/6Music and some favourable traffic it went quite quickly! Also nice to tune into BBC Radio Leicester with O Little Town of Bethlehem just as the signal finally faded out many miles from Leicestershire. BBC Radio Newcastle a novel listen as well!

Berwick served up the best weather and perfectly timed too allowing me to photograph under this perfect light!
