Olive Oysterling
It turned out to be a nicer day than had originally been forecast, but as it was still quite windy, I decided to go down to the river for a wander. There were lots of small birds in the trees, but apart from large numbers of Mallards and a solitary Heron, there was very little birdlife of the river itself. There were quite a lot of fungi though, including this Sarcomyxa serotina or Olive Oystering, which is a late fruiting variety, fairly common in these parts.
