A very public bath

Or perhaps Avians bathing in public.

On the plane to Wellington by the time that the sun was rising, and left there after the sun had set. I had a walk in the sun in central Wellington at midday. In Courtenay Place there is a lot of public space for pedestrians and for people to sit. There is also a water feature, which has a number of small fountains, each in its small triangular raised up area. This one had five pigeons bathing in it as I went by.

In the time it took me to get out my camera and focus, two had fled. There were three in the first picture, although one was hiding, and in the next picture that one was caught while flying away. This shows how they are sitting in the water.

It was then back to the interviews for the afternoon before the late flight home.
