A Christmas Eve Quilt

I've been hand piecing this quilt over the last few months . The striped border is machine sewn , as is the quilting (done by Helen Hagan at Ngaruawahia) echoing the bugs, bees and dragonflies featuring in the fussy-cut hexagons. We drove out to Ngaruawahia in the '56 Mark I Zephyr yesterday to collect the quilt, returned home, trimmed the edges, machined the  double thickness binding I had prepared to the edge and today I have hand stitched it in place to the backing which completes the project. One more thing...I must embroider my name to the back of it as quilt maker.
The next quilt top is almost complete...another of handpieced hexagons.
It's a disease!
