Lonesome train
Left Hampton at 9am and arrived back in Oban at 7.45pm - quite a long day. Carriage somewhat disrupted by a wee old Glasgow man who got on at Preston and drank six cans of Carling Black Label before arriving in Glasgow!
The train was delayed by a 50mph speed limit through the Lake District, which seemed a bit odd as though the area was flooded, it didn't show any sign of strong winds. Nearly 25 minutes late arriving at Glasgow Central leaving me with only 12 minutes to catch the Oban train at Queen Street - made it with a few minutes to spare. Strangely the train was very sparsely populated, probably due to the fact that it was earlier listed as cancelled, before a change of mind! There were actually a few more passengers than this picture shows - this was the view behind me!
