Hoorah!! And happy Christmas to me!

I have my waxwings! The weather was absolutely appalling - wet and windy - and I wasn't at all confident that they'd show up (a friend photographed them there yesterday and got some fabulous photos in the sunshine).

I waited for over an hour and eventually a few fieldfares turned up, then some redwings ... then lots and lots of starlings .. and then ... WAXWINGS!!!

About 50 or 60 of them hanging onto the tree for dear life! They didn't stay long so I'm very lucky to have got them!
