Lunch out

Poor Carys was very worried about going to get her filling done this morning. As I had to be elsewhere Daddy took her. Apparently she was very grown up, told the dentist what she was scared of and managed to have it all done pain free. Meanwhile W was an absolute star helping me with the last minute shopping and sitting quietly reading whilst I had my nails done.

Back home the cake was iced before we headed to the Millstream for lunch. We took our time and it was a really nice meal. Carys managed to put away the 'light' toad in the hole, which is huge. I think we will try to do it again.

While we were out today we missed two parcel deliveries. I went to town to see if I could collect them. Failed with the special delivery, that had to be taken back to Stevenage to be returned to Brookers PO tomorrow morning. The other was a parcel force delivery which had been attempted after the special delivery. I went to Highbury Road PO and there it was waiting for me! Why are the two systems so different?

Anyway now we are watching Polar Express and it is Christmas Eve Eve.
