Look Up!

Just as I was leaving for yoga this afternoon -- a bit early, as I had an errand to run before class -- I noticed some very interesting cloud formations in the southwest sky, so my first stop was Lake Padden Park, which affords a much wider vista than our cul-de-sac.

The clouds over the lake and hills were fascinating, but it was the clouds that I saw when I looked up, framed by tree branches, that really appealed to me.

They swirled and danced in counterpoint to the stationary branches, and seemed to be bursting with the fullness of summer, almost like a herd of sheep on a Welsh hillside, forming and reforming according to some rhythm known only to them.

It was a magical moment.
