Woodstock New York

Woodstock is a beautiful little town up in the Catskills, and synonymous with the Woodstock music festivals even though the actual Woodstock took place on a farm about 60 miles away. There are lots of artists and hippies hanging about town which makes for an interesting mix.

Drove to a Tibetan monastery up in the hills and even managed to get in to see the shrine room - beautiful and very peaceful - a wonderful place for contemplation. The monastery marks the start of a trail up to Overlook mountain it is a crazily steep climb in the blazing sun but absolutely worth it when you take in the view.

Definitely recharging the batteries!!!
