Dorking

We had an amazingly good flight for a night flight! Took off on time, had a nice/interesting person sitting next to me, landed earlier than expected at 5:30am, in fact, we came straight in with absolutely no circling! First time ever!! Incredible! :)

The strong tail wind meant we had to wait a bit before going to collect the car. That done, we then checked into a hotel as we have friends staying at the Lodge. Had to get sorted first, and then hit the High Street, and w-o-w... our friends were right there in Guildford on the High Street! No need to jump into a car to head out to them! Perfect!

Wanted to show them Guildford Catherdral but that is under renovation!!! Headed back to the Lodge and stopped at an 11th century church in Albury Park. Same story!!! This must be work on your church season!

Anyway, we took J&P to Dorking, to show them the quaintness of the town. A very easy place to spend a few hours - not that we had that sort of time! We all needed an early dinner which was provided by Gomshall Mill. Fantastic place and setting. For the first time in AGES, I was in bed and asleep by 9:30. A record for sure. No thoughts of even getting my laptop out of the case, let alone switching it on! ;)
