I didn't see anything like this in Birmingham. The stall holder was a real showman, lining up the little mugs, soaking sugar lumps in spirits which he lit, then pouring more spirit onto the flames. Inevitably some spelled over onto the countertop.
It was noticeable that the crowds were very much thinner, no doubt because of Berlin.
