A clear moment.

This is the view from our holiday house that we arrived at this afternoon.
Just a few steps from the door and you are on the beach. It's tidal so big mudflats at low tide, great at high tide.
It's rained heavily all day, drove through torrential rain in the Lewis Pass. Made for hard driving conditions, especially with so many huge trucks on the road. Now that it is the only road route down the South Island sine the recent EQs the volume of traffic has at least doubled.

We got here ok, and are hoping the rain will clear tomorrow!
