Misty Morning

We have just passed the Summer Solstice, (yesterday), but it didn't seem like it, as it got dark early, and teemed with rain most of the night.  Hence the beautiful misty sunrise.  (I had to get up at 5.30 a.m. to get this photo)!  There were other photographers there too, (there always is)!  I'm sure we all came away with huge smiles on our faces, as it was a pretty perfect sunrise.  In the distance is Mt Iron.

The extra photo is of a birds nest that is in the lawn at little 'h's' place.  It is her job to make sure that their dog doesn't find the nest!  They aren't sure what the bird is, they think it maybe a Thrush.  When little 'h' went 'cheep, cheep, cheep', they opened their little beaks so I could get a photo!  I wonder if they survived the rain storm last night?
