Day 356 of 366 - The Middle of England!

The image today was taken this afternoon in the Village of Meriden. The view is of an Ancient Wayside post that marks the historical Centre of England. The post which is about 500 years old stands on the Village Green in Meriden. Behind the Wayside cross is the village Christmas tree. It is called the Meriden Tree of Thought. The tree serves a special role in the village as people can leave messages under the tree and it helps raise money for Cancer care Charities.

The photo was taken using the app Cortex Camera on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Snapseed to edit the photo. I Cropped the image and applied both the Tonal Contrast and HDR Scape filters. I then boosted the Structure and Sharpening to the image. Next I used the app Mextures to apply the formula called Darker Days by Ryan Olde. I then used the app Brushstroke to apply the Oil O4 painterly preset. Finally I used the app PhotoToaster to add the Contrast preset, the Cross Process FX and an Large Dark Vignette. I then applied the Stucco texture and the Shadow II frame.
