Blowin' in the Wind
Before I begin tonight, I must say how astoundingly touched I am with all the wonderful, kind comments that you left for my 365th post. Hearts and stars are one thing, but your words just blew me away completely.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you all so very much!
I was determined to get out to blip today and while that just meant a post-work wander round the loch, it was good to get out again (hahaha, like its been soooo long since I was roaming free with the camera). I'm still struggling with tiredness and I suspect that I'm going to need a really early crash for one or two nights to recover fully.
Tonight I thought I'd try something a little different and perhaps a little prelude for a wee series. While I was away, Christine let me try her ND filters. I'd read an article some time ago about this guy who used them to photograph busy street scenes devoid of people by using them and I've seen many examples from fellow blippers, Christine being one, who use them for long exposures. I enjoyed the try out and so Amazon will be receiving more custom from me in the near future. Meantime, I just closed the aperture tonight and picked a shady area to shoot in which allowed me to lower the shutter speed enough to capture the wind blowing through the reeds.
I'd like to thank everyone for their lovely comments made on my back blips. You guys are amazing to do that even when I've not been around to comment on your journals. I'm going to do my best to get back to all of you before the weekend because the Wedding photo's await me then. Eeek! Need to get them done before my sister really does kill me. Hopefully, normal service will return on Tuesday, following the bank holiday. Thanks again to you all for sticking with me!
For anyone who still wants to catch the highlights of the holiday, they start here.
