Classroom Help

Grace helped me organize an insanely disorganized classroom I have inherited. The first thing she did was write my name on the board (I like the Pops...or Mr. Witten in fine print). The second thing she did was help me move the ancient student desks into a horseshoe, fine for discussions. I asked Grace if any other teacher at OHS had their desks in such a fashion. She said no, they were all in straight rows. I told her I don't do straight rows. She lit into the shelves, and we tossed old stuff, and reorganized the new. She said she hates clutter, and I'm right there with her. By the end of our one-hour session, we had the place looking a little more respectable, but we both know we have much more work to do.

It's pretty special having this kind of help.
