chase those birds hopping along the edges of the hedgerow, as any normal Border would be expected to do?   Or just not bother? 
As no one's watching (all the neighbourhood dogs have long since had their lunchtime walks, due to the fact that bluebellsea got home really late from work), I think I'll not bother.  I really need to get home to my very late chicken lunch! (And a bird in my bowl is better than five in the bush). Hehehe... WOOF!
