Duck eggs
Regular readers who follow my commentaries may recall my earlier posts this month (August) about attempting to fry eggs on the sidewalk.
I have since moved onto to new adventures. Call it eggs "revisited" if you wish - however this time we are talking about "duck eggs." Have YOU ever tried duck eggs before? My first thought was "eweee" but no longer, after trying a few.
They are larger, and have much more flavor than "regular" eggs. They ALSO deliver a LOT more vitamins and proteins than "regular" eggs!
I have several neighbors who raise "back yard chicken eggs" and I'm impressed with the difference between their eggs and regular "grocery store eggs." One friend suggested I might might want to try "duck eggs." They were described as being richer and having more flavor than regular eggs, so I found some at my local market and decided to give them a try.
Why yes! they are quite a bit richer in flavor, however I think the "backyard chicken eggs" from one of my neighbors might have been even tastier ?? Very subjective observation here...
At any rate, I tried three duck eggs scrambled, and they were VERY tasty - much more so than regular "grocery store" eggs!
As for this particular batch of eggs - you can learn much more from "Stiebrs Farms" located just south of Seattle in a little town named Yelm, Washington.
