The Moon from MGH

The desk day was one of torture. Sometimes the data processing is repetitive, following a certain sequence, tending to monotony but not too demanding. Today, I was working on a complex one off exercise. a 3d model effectively being assembled on an Excel spread sheet but I wanted it assembled in such a way that if one component changed then everything else would recalculate. Just for good measure all the trigonometry functions in Excel work in radians so to get the COS of 22.5 degrees you have to go 22.5 divided by 180 times Pi (all in brackets) and of course, in reverse, ASIN of a particular ratio returns an answer also in radians  Even when this aswer was going straight in to another formula I still wanted to see the angle displayed in degrees so I could get a feel for what was going on under the bonnet.

I'm looking forward to a nice bread and butter job next.
