Stromness at dawn (Day 587)
A most excellent evening was had at Mum and Dad's last night. The new Chinese takeaway is superb and we all ate far too much.
This morning mum and I took the dogs along the shore across from Stromness in a strong, bitterly cold wind. As we wandered along the sun made an appearance over the top of the Orphir hills. Sunrise this morning was 0910.
Back home I warmed up with coffee then headed out with Luke and my beautiful wife to Stromness for a wander through the main street. It was very cold.
We returned home briefly to collect the dogs then down to the shore for a walk. The wind speed had increased and the waves in Hoy sound were huge. Luke and HV turned back to the car and drove round to collect me at Warebeth. It was bracing.
It seems there is to be a bit more of a breeze over the next few days.
