Sweetness ...

After spending yesterday in the house due to the weather we needed to get out today. 

We decided to go to a local country store that also has whitetail deer and elk on display.  When we drove up the driveway we didn't see any deer or elk so we decided not to even get out of the car. It's a nice store but we had really gone there to see the deer and elk.

On the way to this country store we had seen flocks of snow geese flying above us.  With that we changed our focus on finding them!  We drove towards Nazareth as this is where we have seen them in past years.  Unfortunately, the snow geese usually flock to the quarry which not accessible by car ... or even by foot!

We finally gave up and headed home.  Luck for us that on the way home we spotted some in a field a short distance off the road.  Our next obstacle was finding a way back to the field so we could get a little closer.  As you can see by my extra we did find a way back to them easily enough.  The dark sky and late afternoon did not lend well to getting a decent shot of the geese ... this is the best I could do under those conditions.  (The map location pinpoints where the snow geese were.)
